But to his dismay, Best Štriker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Alan Voller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Best Štriker in the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of The Northmen Army booed when Elderslie Magpies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dioskouroi Zahakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stig Bengtsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jack Graham in the 36th minute. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Christopher Ahlerot put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Alan Voller. If Hershel Guertin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 45 played minutes The Northmen Army got a freekick which was hit by Albertino Severiano. Dioskouroi Zahakis might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stig Bengtsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dioskouroi Zahakis ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Ovidio Etxekopar made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Earl Prince during the 50th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ovidio Etxekopar in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stig Bengtsson saved The Northmen Army from getting behind. In the 59th minute, Best Štriker reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alan Voller. The goal made the score 0-3. After 63 minutes of play, The Northmen Army's Jorma Jääskeläinen made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alan Voller was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hershel Guertin in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alan Voller saved Elderslie Magpies from getting behind. Hershel Guertin in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alan Voller, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Rod Stephens charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rod Stephens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Elderslie Magpies's Rod Stephens got a free kick in the 70th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Elderslie Magpies fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! In the 80th minute, Elderslie Magpies's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hershel Guertin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Hershel Guertin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Voller having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Jorma Jääskeläinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorma Jääskeläinen in the 89th minute of play forced Elderslie Magpies's goalkeeper Alan Voller to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stig Bengtsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidio Etxekopar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rdth minute of the game Jorma Jääskeläinen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Elderslie Magpies's Alan Voller was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
