The referee showed Paris Kaloxilos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Divorciados FC booed when Pyrgetos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paris Kaloxilos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodosio Florin, 17 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 18 minutes of play Pyrgetos FC's Paris Kaloxilos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Iordanis Batsidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teodosio Florin took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iordanis Batsidis. Iordanis Batsidis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Xacintu in the 31st minute of play forced Pyrgetos FC's goalkeeper Iordanis Batsidis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
