After a rather tough play, Cabezones's Raf Feys got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute, Duran Hunalp reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Frasco Esquivel. The goal made the score 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, AFC United's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Tome came free, but Frasco Esquivel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Cabezones booed when AFC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Irwin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cabezones's Aureliano Salvatore couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for AFC United. Frasco Esquivel was a little too slow when Duran Hunalp got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacek Brak during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cabezones's Jacek Brak got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Pirro Pereta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th match minute, Cabezones was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacek Brak to maneuver through the defense. After 46 played minutes, AFC United's Archibaldo Ahumada shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dong Zhen Song came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in AFC United reached it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denis Law to make the kick off. With a little luck, Cabezones's Dong Zhen Song got control of the ball when Denis Law tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edwin Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dong Zhen Song having to interfere. Jacek Brak kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, AFC United's Baltasar Zunzunegui got a free kick in the 58th minute. Denis Irwin hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, AFC United's Denis Law ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dong Zhen Song. Dong Zhen Song yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Frasco Esquivel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duran Hunalp in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, AFC United's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Tome came free, but Frasco Esquivel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cabezones's Raf Feys got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 77th minute, Archibaldo Ahumada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The AFC United fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when AFC United's Denis Law looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 84th minute, Eriberto Oso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frasco Esquivel was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Pirro Pereta scored 3-3 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dong Zhen Song, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 92 minutes into the match, AFC United's goal looked a bit too open when Duran Hunalp came free, but Frasco Esquivel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Duran Hunalp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frasco Esquivel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dong Zhen Song was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Denis Law showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-4 in the 96 minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Cabezones lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
