Manuel Fernandes might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bengt Ånger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Fernandes ran back to his position shaking his head. Eurico lago made in the 8th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Manuel Fernandes. Fredy Montero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt Ånger having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Lucílio Figueiras made a precise shot to the right of Bengt Ånger. Cheetah Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Renato Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Lundström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Bengt Ånger successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 30th minute David Berggren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renato Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 31 played minutes Cheetah Team got a freekick which was hit by Dan Lundström. In the 33rd match minute, Sporting Clube de Gaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eurico lago to maneuver through the defense. Renato Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Berggren, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sporting Clube de Gaya's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gert Tholsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Cheetah Team's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Gert Tholsson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sporting Clube de Gaya's Renato Vargas did a great save. After 39 played minutes Cheetah Team got a freekick which was hit by Dan Lundström. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fredy Montero got free with Bengt Ånger in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the game, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Lucílio Figueiras nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bengt Ånger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Eurico lago made in the 52nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Cheetah Team's Karl-Åke Drake. In the 54th match minute, Sporting Clube de Gaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eurico lago to maneuver through the defense. Lucílio Figueiras took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bengt Ånger. Bengt Ånger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Renato Vargas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mark Malmberg in the 67th minute. Bengt Ånger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Fernandes in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute Sporting Clube de Gaya were awarded a corner. Fredy Montero went to the cornerflag to take it. When Sporting Clube de Gaya's Eloy Hats in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cheetah Team's goalie prevented a goal. After 77 played minutes Sporting Clube de Gaya got a freekick which was hit by Eurico lago. After 79 minutes of play, Cheetah Team's Mark Malmberg made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renato Vargas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bengt Ånger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucílio Figueiras, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. A collision led to Sporting Clube de Gaya getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Lucílio Figueiras hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucílio Figueiras in the 97th minute of play forced Cheetah Team's goalkeeper Bengt Ånger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cheetah Team's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
