The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Atilano Pirmin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Barrenta SC's Edgar Trigo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Barrenta SC from getting a goal against them. Atilano Pirmin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sydney Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barrenta SC's Sydney Carioca got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Atilano Pirmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomás Braga in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Walmyr Lira made a precise shot to the right of Atilano Pirmin. Deportivo Medievales's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 28 minutes into the game, Sydney Carioca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Atilano Pirmin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmyr Lira in the 31st minute of play forced Deportivo Medievales's goalkeeper Atilano Pirmin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Deportivo Medievales's goal looked a bit too open when Walmyr Lira came free, but Atilano Pirmin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Paulo José Azevedo notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Deportivo Medievales's Atilano Pirmin. In the 94th minute Walmyr Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilano Pirmin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barrenta SC played a much better game than Deportivo Medievales and deserved their victory. The Deportivo Medievales players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
