Bernardo Mastronardi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Fábio Braga made a huge save. Supremacy Catania FC's Edoardo Di Lorenzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Flores in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Supremacy Catania FC's Comunardo Placidi got a free kick in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Manuel Flores notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Supremacy Catania FC's Edoardo Di Lorenzo. Edoardo Di Lorenzo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 13 minutes into the match, Supremacy Catania FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tarcísio Alvarenga came free, but Edoardo Di Lorenzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fábio Braga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo Mastronardi in the 14th minute. After 19 minutes of play, Exército Português's Marian Axinte made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edoardo Di Lorenzo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edoardo Di Lorenzo came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Exército Português's Tarcísio Alvarenga. But to his dismay, Tarcísio Alvarenga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. When Tarcísio Alvarenga came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Exército Português fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tarcísio Alvarenga couldn't finish the play. Edoardo Di Lorenzo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marian Axinte, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Marian Axinte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Edoardo Di Lorenzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dario Saraceni hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Edoardo Di Lorenzo came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Exército Português's Manuel Flores. But to his dismay, Manuel Flores quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Bernardo Mastronardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Supremacy Catania FC booed when Exército Português was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Flores didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edoardo Di Lorenzo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Flores went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

Edoardo Di Lorenzo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rui Sacramento in the 53rd minute. After 56 played minutes Marian Axinte rounded Supremacy Catania FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-7. 64 minutes into the game, Exército Português's Tarcísio Alvarenga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edoardo Di Lorenzo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. In the 67th minute Rui Sacramento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edoardo Di Lorenzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rui Sacramento hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Fábio Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Mastronardi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Supremacy Catania FC's Edoardo Di Lorenzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Axinte in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the game, Rui Sacramento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-10. Edoardo Di Lorenzo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Edoardo Di Lorenzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marian Axinte in the 79th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Eraldo Trotta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edoardo Di Lorenzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Flores in the 80th minute of play. Eraldo Trotta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Fábio Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Rui Sacramento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edoardo Di Lorenzo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-11. Exército Português's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
