After a rather tough play, New Loser FC's Alexandros Pantazakos got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After some careless play in the New Loser FC defense, Marcelo Goito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eliseu Negri. The New Loser FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eliseu Negri should have stopped the shot. Eliseu Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Goito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, New Loser FC's Donato Messias got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 16 played minutes New Pi got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Costante. New Pi's Maximo Godoy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save New Pi from getting a goal against them. Alexandros Pantazakos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maximo Godoy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After 33 played minutes New Pi got a freekick which was hit by Matías Godoy. New Loser FC's Marcel Rosa got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luan de Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind New Loser FC's goalkeeper Eliseu Negri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Osorio in the 46th minute of play forced New Loser FC's goalkeeper Eliseu Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 48 minutes into the game, New Pi's Marcelo Goito nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliseu Negri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After the first half New Pi were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcelo Goito to strike the kick off in the second half. New Pi's Maximo Godoy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Messias in the 55th minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Alexandros Pantazakos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Loser FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandros Pantazakos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eliseu Negri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelo Goito in the 61st minute. In the 72nd minute, Gastón Turuk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximo Godoy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexandros Pantazakos went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 78th minute Marcelo Goito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseu Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When New Loser FC's Alexandros Pantazakos in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of New Loser FC booed when New Pi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Tibalt didn't get a good kick on the ball. New Pi's Hugo Vellito was substituted for Gastón Turuk. The New Loser FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. New Pi were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
