The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Domenik de Vos charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Domenik de Vos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ezber Bozan FK getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Domenik de Vos hit a great ball. Nofre Amorebieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Oskar Nykvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arne Kilström made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Domenik de Vos sent off a good shot on target. Bahattin Pektürk's late challenge caught a AIK FOTBOLL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bahattin Pektürk helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ezber Bozan FK's goalkeeper Nofre Amorebieta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Per-Oskar Nykvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nofre Amorebieta. Ezber Bozan FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Per-Oskar Nykvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Arne Kilström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvise Nasuti in the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Hayati Uğurhan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AIK FOTBOLL's Arne Kilström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hayati Uğurhan in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvise Nasuti to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Oskar Nykvist in the 53rd minute of play forced Ezber Bozan FK's goalkeeper Nofre Amorebieta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Desmond Hume hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ezber Bozan FK made a substitution. Onur Ali Şen replaced Domenik de Vos. AIK FOTBOLL's Andréas Fransson was substituted for Morgan Blom. The supporters of AIK FOTBOLL booed when Ezber Bozan FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Desmond Hume didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bahattin Pektürk kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. When Andréas Fransson came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the AIK FOTBOLL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andréas Fransson couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute AIK FOTBOLL were awarded a corner. Alvin Bergfelt went to the cornerflag to take it. Nofre Amorebieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Axelsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andréas Fransson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Fredrik Axelsson came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the AIK FOTBOLL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fredrik Axelsson couldn't finish the play. Andréas Fransson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Nofre Amorebieta made a huge save. Maximilian Åström made in the 91st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Olov Deckberg. 94 minutes into the match, Fredrik Axelsson notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Ezber Bozan FK's Nofre Amorebieta. Nofre Amorebieta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
