After a rather tough play, ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Agustín Sande got a free kick in the 13th minute. 17 minutes into the match, FF Forever's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Belarmo came free, but Fernan James reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FF Forever booed when ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Cordarrel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's Rodrigo Cugat looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 45th minute, Tobias Romelio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernan James was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severino Torres to make the kick off. If Abelardo Belarmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo Cugat during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alberto Abeita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paolo Restu in the 62nd minute of play. In the 66th minute of the match, Tobias Romelio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fernan James saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Abelardo Belarmo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernan James read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Restu in the 70th minute of play forced ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's goalkeeper Alberto Abeita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Cugat in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fernan James, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodrigo Cugat in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fernan James saved FF Forever from getting behind. After 76 minutes FF Forever's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bruno Cordarrel who took care of the corner kick. Rodrigo Cugat's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Fernan James skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 79 played minutes ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Katia. Tobias Romelios short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Fernan James to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Rodrigo Cugat came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Cugat couldn't finish the play. The supporters of ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ booed when FF Forever was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Cugat had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernan James. FF Forever's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodrigo Cugat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. ₡ösᴛᴀ ᴆᴇ ₿ᴀʀᴙɪĿ's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
