The Grêmio FBPA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rui Varela should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of Grêmio FBPA booed when FC Vlahuță was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudiu Doinaș didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Petru Bute kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rui Varela. That made the score 0-8 in the 83 minute of play. Filipe Neto hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Alex Iorga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petru Bute kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. FC Vlahuță walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
