CSD Concepción were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juanjo Campaña took the corner. The corner ended in Juanjo Campaña almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Arthur Bufi did a great save. Gwidon Cwojdak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gwidon Cwojdak kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Arthur Bufi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daud Gazale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CSD Concepción's Nicolás Villamil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwidon Cwojdak in the 19th minute of play. After having played for 21 minutes, Gualberto Abbatte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CSD Concepción's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gualberto Abbatte was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gwidon Cwojdak fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's protests and gave Gwidon Cwojdak a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gwidon Cwojdak to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Gualter Meirelles got a free kick in the 29th minute. CSD Concepción were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Juanjo Campaña took the corner. The corner led CSD Concepción's Juanjo Campaña to fire away a dangerous shot which Arthur Bufi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Salomone Liendo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Cruzeiro Esporte Clube made a substitution. Cristi Saron replaced Olavo Quadros. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gualberto Abbatte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gwidon Cwojdak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicolás Villamil having to make a save. Nicolás Villamil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gwidon Cwojdak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 60 played minutes CSD Concepción got a freekick which was hit by Gualberto Abbatte. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling 余永川 in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolás Villamil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 64 minutes of play, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Gwidon Cwojdak made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicolás Villamil was left in no man's land by his defense there! CSD Concepción's Erasmo Lacunza was substituted for Chico Ortega. CSD Concepción made a substitution. Mario Flores replaced Gualberto Abbatte. In the 71st minute 余永川 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolás Villamil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gwidon Cwojdak kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Ye Hong Shi made a great header on Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's corner, it was just that CSD Concepción's Nicolás Villamil managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 97th minute, Erasmo Lacunza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arthur Bufi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Cruzeiro Esporte Clube lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
