Dudu Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raimondas Bitėnas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Raimondas Bitėnas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 15 minutes, Luiz Fernando Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catugi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fernando Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Užnemunė SLAVA UKRAINI's goalkeeper Raimondas Bitėnas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raimondas Bitėnas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dudu Borges in the 18th minute of the match. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Užnemunė SLAVA UKRAINI's goalkeeper Raimondas Bitėnas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Catugi FC booed when FK Užnemunė SLAVA UKRAINI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artūras Putrimas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match, Dudu Borges tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Raimondas Bitėnas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Dudu Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Fernando Abraão got free with Raimondas Bitėnas in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artūras Putrimas during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Artūras Putrimas hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Luiz Fernando Abraão's late challenge caught a FK Užnemunė SLAVA UKRAINI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luiz Fernando Abraão helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Catugi FC's Luiz Fernando Abraão got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute Orestas Kontautas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Borges in the 38th minute of play forced FK Užnemunė SLAVA UKRAINI's goalkeeper Raimondas Bitėnas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st match minute, FK Užnemunė SLAVA UKRAINI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nojus Švedas to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in FK Užnemunė SLAVA UKRAINI fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Orestas Kontautas made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Neiva to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute, Luiz Fernando Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernani Travassos to maneuver through the defense. When Catugi FC's Luiz Fernando Abraão in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. FK Užnemunė SLAVA UKRAINI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dudu Borges was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Dudu Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Luiz Fernando Abraão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raimondas Bitėnas was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Raimondas Bitėnas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fernando Abraão in the 80th minute of play. Dudu Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. When the referee ended the match the Catugi FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
