Spectators: 144 (Terracing: 109, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zbigniew Hatman started the match with the kick off. After 5 played minutes LFS Sapphire Club got a freekick which was hit by Wieslaw Erland. 6 minutes into the match, Hartlepool's Fabian Fager sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Baltasar Aznaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to LFS Sapphire Club getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Fedele Cardella hit a great ball. Baltasar Aznaro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabian Fager's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. Hartlepool's Fabian Fager got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Per-Oskar Kilberg, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Fabian Fager received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Baltasar Aznaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kalle Kvick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Hatman in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Valter Vacker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hartlepool's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LFS Sapphire Club the free kick. After 33 played minutes Hartlepool got a freekick which was hit by Valter Vacker. Roland Cerocki blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kalle Kvick having to make a save. After 39 played minutes LFS Sapphire Club got a freekick which was hit by Wieslaw Erland. Baltasar Aznaro made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Bengt Blixt sent off a good shot on target. After 44 played minutes Hartlepool got a freekick which was hit by Carl Qvarnström. A collision led to Hartlepool getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Fabian Fager hit a great ball. Kalle Kvick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witalis Tamulewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fabian Fager stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Fager in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baltasar Aznaro saved LFS Sapphire Club from getting behind. 55 minutes into the match, Hartlepool's goal looked a bit too open when Witalis Tamulewicz came free, but Kalle Kvick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ralf Rask fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hartlepool's protests and gave Ralf Rask a yellow card for diving instead. After 56 played minutes Hartlepool got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Rask. Kalle Kvick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Witalis Tamulewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute of the match LFS Sapphire Club got a corner. Hartlepool's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roland Cerocki ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 61st minute, Bengt Blixt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baltasar Aznaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Kalle Kvick successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 67thth minute of the game Fabian Fager who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LFS Sapphire Club's Baltasar Aznaro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baltasar Aznaro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. LFS Sapphire Club's Baltasar Aznaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralf Rask in the 78th minute of play. When Isidro Carrasqueira fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LFS Sapphire Club's protests and gave Isidro Carrasqueira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th minute, Isidro Carrasqueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 80 minutes into the game, Roland Cerocki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LFS Sapphire Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hartlepool the free kick. Hartlepool's Dennis Holmgren was substituted for Isac Bålström. After a rather tough play, LFS Sapphire Club's Roland Cerocki got a free kick in the 81st minute. Roland Cerocki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Kalle Kvick made a huge save. A collision led to LFS Sapphire Club getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Teofil Gondela hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abílio Carreira got free with Kalle Kvick in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute, Bengt Blixt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hartlepool fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Hartlepool fans cheered their team off the field, for while LFS Sapphire Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
