Filomeno Sidro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 5th minute, Filomeno Sidro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute, Faustino Xabel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 23 played minutes AA GUARULHOS got a freekick which was hit by João Pedro Paranaense. If Filomeno Sidro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 minutes, Evaristo Txaran mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Scaloneta and the AA GUARULHOS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of AA GUARULHOS booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Txaran didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Txaran to maneuver through the defense. Benito Cutberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Damião charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Damião the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of La Scaloneta booed when AA GUARULHOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filomeno Sidro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcel Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Javier Rocio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half La Scaloneta were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Norberto Fonseca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlinhos Rossi hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. AA GUARULHOS's Tomás Vaz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save AA GUARULHOS from getting a goal against them. The corner went over the outstretched arms of AA GUARULHOS's goalie and right to Alonzo Leheren. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. AA GUARULHOS's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to La Scaloneta getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Evaristo Txaran hit a great ball. In the 59th match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonzo Leheren to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, AA GUARULHOS's goalkeeper Tomás Vaz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filomeno Sidro. After a rather tough play, AA GUARULHOS's Diamantino Cearense got a free kick in the 72nd minute. If Benito Cutberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Filomeno Sidro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tomás Vaz. The goal made the score 0-3. After 79 played minutes La Scaloneta got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Leheren. The supporters of La Scaloneta booed when AA GUARULHOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardinho Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicanor Ramos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Filomeno Sidro's late challenge caught a AA GUARULHOS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filomeno Sidro helped the player get up and apologised. After 88 played minutes La Scaloneta got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Sidro. The nice shot from Filomeno Sidro in the 94thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Tomás Vaz had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. The AA GUARULHOS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching La Scaloneta's performance. The match ended with a win for La Scaloneta.
