Chelco FC's Bernardino Paio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Bermund in the 6th minute of play. Francisco Naike scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ladislao Abella, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Teodosio Bermund scored 1-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardino Paio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Orlando Hug hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After having played for 19 minutes, Dario Gartzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stellenbosch were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Chelco FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Florentino Ferrer took the corner. Ladislao Abella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lindo Ganso in the 29th minute of play. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Lindo Ganso sped through Stellenbosch's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ladislao Abella. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fidel Guilabertus during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 34th match minute, Stellenbosch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Guilabertus to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute Lindo Ganso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislao Abella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardino Paio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florentino Ferrer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bernardino Paio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Ferrer in the 46th minute of the match. Anacleto Igon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teodosio Bermund was the one to do the kick off. Dario Gartzi hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Florentino Ferrer struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Franco Mastantuono's late challenge caught a Stellenbosch's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 59th minute of the match Florentino Ferrer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernardino Paio skillfully saved the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Chelco FC's Lindo Ganso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ladislao Abella narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 62 minutes into the game, Dario Gartzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chelco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stellenbosch the free kick. The supporters of Stellenbosch booed when Chelco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dario Gartzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chelco FC's Maximo Pudes was substituted for Victorino Quirze. A collision led to Chelco FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Dario Gartzi hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the match, Florentino Ferrer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardino Paio. Chelco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florentino Ferrer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentino Ferrer in the 67th minute of play forced Chelco FC's goalkeeper Bernardino Paio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardino Paio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodosio Bermund's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Francisco Naike kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Baldomiro Gaizko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stellenbosch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Ladislao Abella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Naike in the 76th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Stellenbosch:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chelco FC:s goal. The score was 3-3 after a penalty in the 79th minute, where Chelco FC:s Dario Gartzi tricked Stellenbosch:s Ladislao Abella with a difficult ball by the left post. In the 82nd minute, Chelco FC's Lindo Ganso ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ladislao Abella. Ladislao Abella yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. When Chelco FC's Lindo Ganso in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ladislao Abella made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Maximo Pudes sent off a good shot on target. Ladislao Abella was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lindo Ganso showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-5 in the 94 minute of play.
