But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florentino Ferrer couldn't finish the play. David Montrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodosio Bermund, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Baldomiro Gaizko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Montrel having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Stellenbosch's Fidel Guilabertus got a free kick in the 18th minute. David Montrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomiro Gaizko in the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Burgues Theatre's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Bermund came free, but David Montrel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Florentino Ferrer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Montrel. Burgues Theatre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florentino Ferrer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 27 minutes into the match, Baldomiro Gaizko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Montrel. Anacleto Igon took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Montrel. David Montrel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. David Montrel came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Stellenbosch's Florentino Ferrer. But to his dismay, Florentino Ferrer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. In the 39th minute, Florentino Ferrer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Montrel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. In the 42nd minute, Isidoro Ofelio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stellenbosch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-8.

In the 51st minute, Teodosio Bermund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Montrel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-9. After 55 played minutes Burgues Theatre got a freekick which was hit by Bernabe Roderigo. Burgues Theatre's David Montrel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentino Ferrer in the 60th minute of play. With a little luck, Burgues Theatre's David Montrel got control of the ball when Teodosio Bermund tried to sneak it across the goal line. Florentino Ferrer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Montrel having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Teodosio Bermund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Montrel. Burgues Theatre's David Montrel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Burgues Theatre from getting a goal against them. David Montrel was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Florentino Ferrer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Florentino Ferrer really showed his touch with that goal: 0-12. The crowd rose to their feet as Stellenbosch's Florentino Ferrer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Montrel. That made the score 0-13 after 78 minutes of play. David Montrel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Ferrer in the 81st minute of the match. David Montrel was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Florentino Ferrer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Florentino Ferrer really showed his touch with that goal: 0-14. In the 88th minute Florentino Ferrer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Montrel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teodosio Bermund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inocencio Rafel charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inocencio Rafel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Inocencio Rafel hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the match, Burgues Theatre's goalkeeper David Montrel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baldomiro Gaizko. David Montrel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anacleto Igon, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Stellenbosch played a much better game than Burgues Theatre and deserved their victory. The Burgues Theatre players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
