Teodosio Isauro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnoldo Toledano, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Claudio Carballo charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudio Carballo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 18 played minutes, LOS MENTI's Orlando Walme shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ronald Castaneda came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in LOS MENTI reached it. In the 23rd minute, Faustino Cedro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronald Castaneda was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 94 played minutes LOS MENTI got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Tavio. The audience cheered when William Montes's long shot passed Teodosio Isauro's right side. It was 4-2, 95 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the LOS MENTI players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for TEAM HONDURAS ROATAN.
