The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. AZAT MARD FC's Pär Löfdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Godoi in the 2nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 2 minutes, Pär Löfdahl successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 6th minute of the match, Virgilio Gauargi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pär Löfdahl saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Paul Scholes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Rolando Merexildo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bartolo Leoiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pär Löfdahl having to interfere. Pablo Viviano kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Rolando Merexildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Billy Olsson in the 17th minute of the match. AZAT MARD FC:s Pär Löfdahl showed great skill when he stopped Gil Godoi:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick Nick in the 26th minute of play forced PGE FC's goalkeeper Rolando Merexildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, PGE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nils-Emil Torsberg came free, but Rolando Merexildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgilio Gauargi charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Virgilio Gauargi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to PGE FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Virgilio Gauargi hit a great ball. Billy Olsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Merexildo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, AZAT MARD FC's Lisandro Lindelöf got a free kick in the 38th minute. Pär Löfdahl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gil Godoi in the 39th minute. Pär Löfdahl made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Bartolo Leoiar sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Billy Olsson made a kick off. The supporters of AZAT MARD FC booed when PGE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gara Dryburgh didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paul Scholes during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 52 played minutes AZAT MARD FC got a freekick which was hit by Paul Scholes. 54 minutes into the game, AZAT MARD FC's Nick Nick nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Merexildo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Pär Löfdahl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Gauargi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute of the match, Billy Olsson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rolando Merexildo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Pär Löfdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Odon in the 69th minute of play. In the 71stth minute of the game Bartolo Leoiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AZAT MARD FC's Pär Löfdahl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bartolo Leoiar in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pär Löfdahl saved AZAT MARD FC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in AZAT MARD FC's zone, Saturnino Ospin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pär Löfdahl came out of the goal and Saturnino Ospin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pär Löfdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Odon in the 75th minute of play. Stellan Åhlberg charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stellan Åhlberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pär Löfdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolo Leoiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Paul Scholes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Merexildo. PGE FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paul Scholes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. AZAT MARD FC's Pär Löfdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Odon in the 84th minute of play. In the 91st minute Gil Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pär Löfdahl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 played minutes AZAT MARD FC got a freekick which was hit by Stellan Åhlberg. After 93 played minutes, PGE FC's Gil Godoi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pär Löfdahl came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PGE FC reached it. Pär Löfdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Gauargi in the 94th minute of play. AZAT MARD FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
