In the 7th minute Caetano Galnares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Ponc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Luis Sanchez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victorino Ortiz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horacio Ponc read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Browall in the 13th minute of play forced RACIN DE CHAWEN's goalkeeper Marco Pedriza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute Johan Browall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Pedriza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Horacio Ponc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sindo Bacete, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Каблешково's Johan Browall got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Pedriza was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Strahil Novev. After 41 minutes, Tulio Mangas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RACIN DE CHAWEN and the Каблешково players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tulio Mangas hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice moves José Luis Sanchez could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Marco Pedriza however easily saved by the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caetano Galnares to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Luis Sanchez in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Pedriza saved RACIN DE CHAWEN from getting behind. In the 53rd minute Johan Browall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Pedriza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Каблешково's goalkeeper Horacio Ponc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sindo Bacete. RACIN DE CHAWEN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miroslaw Klose was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. In the 96th minute Miroslaw Klose shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Pedriza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched RACIN DE CHAWEN eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
