With his leg Nicolae Borcea managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when AM United's Alexandre Mendonça fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 20th minute Hermano Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolae Borcea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, RED BLUE STAR's goalkeeper Nicolae Borcea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandre Mendonça. The supporters of RED BLUE STAR booed when AM United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hermano Gaspar made a kick off. RED BLUE STAR's Nicolae Borcea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damião Quintanilha in the 52nd minute of play. Hermano Gaspar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicolae Borcea having to make a save. If Alexandre Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hermano Gaspar in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolae Borcea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Armindo Viana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute.
