Halvard Hestvik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Vertigo. After a rather tough play, Club Vertigo's Emanuel Negru got a free kick in the 12th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Club Vertigo's zone, Kjetil-André Bertelsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gelu Pașcalău came out of the goal and Kjetil-André Bertelsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Halvard Hestvik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dumitru Mavrogheni went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 25 minutes into the match, Laniakea's goal looked a bit too open when Ştefan Panțuru came free, but Halvard Hestvik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kyrre Westerlund's late challenge caught a Club Vertigo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kyrre Westerlund helped the player get up and apologised. Kyrre Westerlund kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Halvard Hestvik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ştefan Panțuru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Ştefan Panțuru notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Laniakea's Halvard Hestvik. Halvard Hestvik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Kjetil-André Bertelsen sped through Club Vertigo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gelu Pașcalău. Gelu Pașcalău made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Sandbakken in the 36th minute of play. Kjetil-André Bertelsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gelu Pașcalău having to interfere. Gelu Pașcalău took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Sandbakken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kyrre Westerlund struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. In the 51st minute, Adam Sandbakken ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gelu Pașcalău was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Halvard Hestvik successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Nistor Iftimescu kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Club Vertigo's zone, Kjetil-André Bertelsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gelu Pașcalău came out of the goal and Kjetil-André Bertelsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emanuel Negru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halvard Hestvik having to interfere. If Adam Sandbakken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 66 played minutes Club Vertigo got a freekick which was hit by Octavian Mergea. Gelu Pașcalău showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Idar Kvale in the 67th minute of the match. Adam Sandbakken's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gelu Pașcalău read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Gelu Pașcalău showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Sandbakken, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Gelu Pașcalău came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Laniakea's Adam Sandbakken. But to his dismay, Adam Sandbakken quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. 80 minutes into the game, Kjetil-André Bertelsen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Gelu Pașcalău was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Laniakea fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Laniakea's Adam Sandbakken looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 90th minute, Adam Sandbakken left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laniakea fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. 94 minutes into the game, Dumitru Mavrogheni recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Halvard Hestvik. Dumitru Mavrogheni showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 6-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Vertigo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Laniakea.
