The supporters of Gædd FK booed when Курск ФК was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arseniy Lukinov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vyacheslav Veniaminov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Berglund having to interfere. If Alf-Inge Hol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kjetil Hellevik kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Andreas Berglund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vyacheslav Veniaminov in the 37th minute of the match. Kjetil Hellevik struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Aleksey Silkin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gædd FK. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kjetil Hellevik was the one to do the kick off. Vyacheslav Veniaminov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vyacheslav Veniaminov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Andreas Berglund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 played minutes Gædd FK got a freekick which was hit by Geir-Inge Unhjem. 64 minutes into the match, Vyacheslav Veniaminov notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Gædd FK's Andreas Berglund. Andreas Berglund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aleksey Silkin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf-Inge Hol in the 71st minute of the match. Gædd FK's Andreas Berglund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vyacheslav Veniaminov in the 81st minute of play. Geir-Inge Unhjem kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Arseniy Lukinov was shown his second yellow card after 89 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Gædd FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
