An unexpectedly hard shot by David Villa in the 20th minute of play forced Pomona AFC's goalkeeper Mauricio Domeka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Pomona AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Leizarraga Balboa came free, but Mauricio Domeka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Leizarraga Balboa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauricio Domeka was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Foguera played a much better game than Pomona AFC and deserved their victory. The Pomona AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
