Vyacheslav Veniaminov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastian Debus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Vyacheslav Veniaminov took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Sebastian Debus to make any attempt to save it. In the 15th match minute, SK Fenerbahce Wien was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jürgen Aufhauser to maneuver through the defense. Vyacheslav Veniaminov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastian Debus having to make a save. SK Fenerbahce Wien's Sebastian Debus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save SK Fenerbahce Wien from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd minute of the game Sascha Frings made a throw-in which Nicholas Oertel played forward. Sebastian Debus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vyacheslav Veniaminov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to SK Fenerbahce Wien getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Sascha Frings hit a great ball. Sebastian Debus stood somewhat misplaced when Vyacheslav Veniaminov came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 30 minute. In the 33rd match minute, SK Fenerbahce Wien was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Max Metzler to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Debus was out of position in the 38 minute of play, and Vyacheslav Veniaminov capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vyacheslav Veniaminov really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Sebastian Debus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vyacheslav Veniaminov, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vyacheslav Veniaminov to strike the kick off in the second half. Nicholas Oertel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andreas Hellmich made in the 56th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Nicholas Oertel however managed to control. 60 minutes into the game, Курск ФК's Vyacheslav Veniaminov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The SK Fenerbahce Wien fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastian Debus should have stopped the shot. Sebastian Debus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vyacheslav Veniaminov went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Sebastian Debus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vyacheslav Veniaminov in the 83rd minute of the match. Vyacheslav Veniaminov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sebastian Debus having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vyacheslav Veniaminov in the 87th minute of play forced SK Fenerbahce Wien's goalkeeper Sebastian Debus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, SK Fenerbahce Wien's goal looked a bit too open when Vyacheslav Veniaminov came free, but Sebastian Debus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vyacheslav Veniaminov in the 96th minute of play forced SK Fenerbahce Wien's goalkeeper Sebastian Debus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Курск ФК had played much better football throughout.
