In the 17th minute Sérgio das Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Varban Stoimirov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Sérgio das Neves slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Varban Stoimirov. That made the score 3-0 after 22 minutes of play. 24 minutes into the match, Sérgio das Neves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Varban Stoimirov. FC Bourgas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sérgio das Neves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Luís Fernando Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mircho Andreev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nano Akrabov hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Massa in the 30th minute of play forced FC Bourgas's goalkeeper Varban Stoimirov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 34th minute of the game was made by Metodi Hadzhinikolov with Yanislav Zhalov as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Bourgas fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 37 minutes, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Sérgio das Neves got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Varban Stoimirov. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Sérgio das Neves made the kick off in the second half. Varban Stoimirov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio das Neves in the 51st minute of play. 53 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goalkeeper Luís Fernando Pirani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Grozdan Martinov. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grozdan Martinov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Luís Fernando Pirani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Varban Stoimirov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Pontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. With a little luck, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Luís Fernando Pirani got control of the ball when Grozdan Martinov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Varban Stoimirov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmir Pontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Varban Stoimirov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro Pernambucano in the 74th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Walmir Pontes put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Varban Stoimirov. FC Bourgas's Varban Stoimirov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir Pontes in the 83rd minute of play. Merusca F&P - CIMZ were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after FC Bourgas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gilberto Massa took the corner. The corner led Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Leopoldo de Queiroz to fire away a dangerous shot which Varban Stoimirov despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Zuriel Levinson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zuriel Levinson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Walmir Pontes got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Walmir Pontes put it in 10-0 from a short distance just to the right of Varban Stoimirov. FC Bourgas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
