Santiago Cañizares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinícius Servaes in the 12th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Florentin Gougeon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Pedro Alvarenga was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Florentin Gougeon sped through Diamante Negro DK - VV's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of João Pedro Alvarenga. Hank Feldman kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Florentin Gougeon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Pedro Alvarenga. Diamante Negro DK - VV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florentin Gougeon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Diamante Negro DK - VV's João Pedro Alvarenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentin Gougeon in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute Valencia C.F. were awarded a corner. Al Capone went to the cornerflag to take it. Valencia C.F.'s Al Capone was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but João Pedro Alvarenga in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. João Pedro Alvarenga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florentin Gougeon went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Vinícius Servaes made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Renatinho Freitas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santiago Cañizares was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Santiago Cañizares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinícius Servaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 59 minutes into the game, Florentin Gougeon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of João Pedro Alvarenga. Florentin Gougeon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. A collision led to Diamante Negro DK - VV getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Vítor Mattos hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute Vinícius Servaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Cañizares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Florentin Gougeon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving João Pedro Alvarenga. That made the score 1-6 in the 73 minute of play. João Pedro Alvarenga didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Valencia C.F.'s Florentin Gougeon shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-7 in the ordered_time% minute. 80 minutes into the match, Florentin Gougeon dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of João Pedro Alvarenga, 1-8.
