The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 김 백 didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Valencia C.F.'s Florentin Gougeon shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Florentin Gougeon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 김 백 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. 김 백 didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Florentin Gougeon went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 17th match minute, FC Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 이 박 to maneuver through the defense. Florentin Gougeon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Florentin Gougeon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 김 백. FC Barcelona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florentin Gougeon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Barcelona's goalkeeper 김 백, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 25 minutes into the match, Florentin Gougeon notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of FC Barcelona's 김 백. 김 백 was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 29 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by 이 박. 김 백 came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Valencia C.F.'s Florentin Gougeon. But to his dismay, Florentin Gougeon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Barcelona's goalkeeper 김 백, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Florentin Gougeon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valencia C.F.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Florentin Gougeon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 김 백 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 김 백 came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Valencia C.F.'s Florentin Gougeon. But to his dismay, Florentin Gougeon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Florentin Gougeon kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 김 백 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentin Gougeon in the 46th minute of the match.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 조 화 to strike the kick off in the second half. 김 백 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonny Logan in the 53rd minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Florentin Gougeon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 김 백. FC Barcelona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florentin Gougeon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. After 61 played minutes Valencia C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Jeremy Colton. Todd Kidd succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-10 in the 69th playminute. In the 72nd minute, Valencia C.F.'s Aziz Gustaman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-11. In the 76th minute, Florentin Gougeon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 김 백 was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-12. Florentin Gougeon might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 김 백. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florentin Gougeon ran back to his position shaking his head. 조 화 charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed 조 화 the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 85 played minutes Valencia C.F. got a freekick which was hit by Jurand Moryl. Santiago Cañizares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 조 화, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 김 백 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentin Gougeon in the 90th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florentin Gougeon got free with 김 백 in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valencia C.F. played a much better game than FC Barcelona and deserved their victory. The FC Barcelona players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
