The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Harald Ennegren might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Charlie Bucket. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harald Ennegren ran back to his position shaking his head. A throw-in in the 11th minute of the game was made by Ash Fox with Henry Sugar as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. John Glad made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Julio Hess sent off a good shot on target. Timmy Asplund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Bucket having to interfere. Charlie Bucket took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harald Ennegren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Harald Ennegren notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Brooklyn SC's Charlie Bucket. Charlie Bucket was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. John Glad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Pace in the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goal looked a bit too open when Harald Ennegren came free, but Charlie Bucket reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the game, Douglas Pace was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brooklyn SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vejbystrand the free kick. The supporters of Vejbystrand booed when Brooklyn SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Pace didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Hess in the 45th minute of play forced Vejbystrand's goalkeeper John Glad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Ash Fox hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Richard Roma made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Julio Hess shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Glad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Charles Ambjörnsson fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vejbystrand's protests and gave Charles Ambjörnsson a yellow card for diving instead. John Glad came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Brooklyn SC's Richard Roma. But to his dismay, Richard Roma quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. When Fredric Örtendahl fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vejbystrand's protests and gave Fredric Örtendahl a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th minute, Fredric Örtendahl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harald Ennegren struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Charlie Bucket didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vejbystrand. Vejbystrand's Henric Nordal was substituted for Harald Ennegren. Ace Owens kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Brooklyn SC's zone, Henric Nordal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charlie Bucket came out of the goal and Henric Nordal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Birger Hammarbäck hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio Hess in the 89th minute of play forced Vejbystrand's goalkeeper John Glad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Birger Hammarbäck hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. A collision led to Vejbystrand getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Fredric Örtendahl hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
