A collision led to San Antonio HotSPURS getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Junior MacKenzie hit a great ball. Ross Buchanan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. San Antonio HotSPURS's Ross Buchanan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Arantes in the 10th minute of play. Régis Castro stood somewhat misplaced when Simon Stover came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 11 minute. Portuguesa's Régis Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Portuguesa from getting a goal against them. When Simon Stover came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the San Antonio HotSPURS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Stover couldn't finish the play. Sidnei Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ross Buchanan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Charles Arantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ross Buchanan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ross Buchanan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charles Arantes took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ross Buchanan. Ross Buchanan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. San Antonio HotSPURS's Ross Buchanan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidnei Faria in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Simon Stover was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Antonio HotSPURS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portuguesa the free kick. In the 33rd match minute, San Antonio HotSPURS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ted Olson to maneuver through the defense. San Antonio HotSPURS's Ross Buchanan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Arantes in the 35th minute of play. Ross Buchanan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Arantes in the 39th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Pedro Augusto de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portuguesa's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Augusto de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ross Buchanan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 played minutes San Antonio HotSPURS got a freekick which was hit by Ted Olson. Ross Buchanan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charles Arantes's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

51 minutes into the game, Sidnei Faria recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ross Buchanan. Sidnei Faria showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Ross Buchanan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Augusto de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 58th minute of the match Simon Stover completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Simon Stover a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Simon Stover hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Charles Arantes took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Ross Buchanan to make any attempt to save it. Nicky Patten's late challenge caught a Portuguesa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicky Patten helped the player get up and apologised. It was beautiful to see Portuguesa's Pedro Augusto de Barros in action when he in the 66th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! 69 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's Sidnei Faria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ross Buchanan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ross Buchanan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Augusto de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Ross Buchanan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Augusto de Barros's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. 79 minutes into the match, San Antonio HotSPURS's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Augusto de Barros came free, but Ross Buchanan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 85th minute of the game was made by Yuri Trigo with Charles Arantes as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. A collision led to Portuguesa getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Sidnei Faria hit a great ball. Portuguesa played a much better game than San Antonio HotSPURS and deserved their victory. The San Antonio HotSPURS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
