Wara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valentinos Balaskas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-5. In the 95th minute, Ahmed Moussa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Although Panionios MK had been in control for most of the match, Wara still came away with the win.
