Panionios MK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luca Savino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Cederik Huts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giorgos Kalabokis, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Kickers United's Cederik Huts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleftherios Karaveris in the 9th minute of play. Blas Lertxun kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th match minute, Kickers United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bobby Debruyn to maneuver through the defense. Panionios MK's Manolis Papacharalabous got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgos Kalabokis in the 15th minute of play forced Kickers United's goalkeeper Cederik Huts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Panionios MK's Notis Bogias got a free kick in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Savino in the 19th minute of play forced Panionios MK's goalkeeper Manos Partalakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Panionios MK's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Savino came free, but Manos Partalakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manos Partalakis was a little too slow when Luca Savino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 2-0. The referee felt a red card was in order, 29 minutes into the game, when Argyris Skapaneas put in a rough tackle. In the 29th minute, one of Panionios MK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Panionios MK. Manos Partalakis had in the 31stth minute some difficulties stopping Tomás Firmin's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 34th match minute, Kickers United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Vandekerkhove to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute, Benjamin Vandekerkhove hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manos Partalakis made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Luca Savino sent off a good shot on target. Giorgos Kalabokis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cederik Huts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 44 minutes into the game, when Bobby Debruyn put in a rough tackle. Bobby Debruyn hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When Manolis Papacharalabous came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Panionios MK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manolis Papacharalabous couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute, Iwan Banach made a precise shot to the right of Manos Partalakis. Panionios MK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Dino Maquiano didn't quite understand what happened when in the 59 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Manos Partalakis came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Kickers United's Dino Maquiano. But to his dismay, Dino Maquiano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Kickers United's Toon Adriaensens was substituted for Dionisio Gartzi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwan Banach in the 72nd minute of play forced Panionios MK's goalkeeper Manos Partalakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Giorgos Kalabokis during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Panionios MK's Giorgos Kalabokis got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 81st minute, Dino Maquiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cederik Huts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleftherios Karaveris in the 89th minute of the match. Dino Maquiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Manos Partalakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giorgos Kalabokis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Cederik Huts made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kickers United fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panionios MK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
