In the 4th match minute, S.E. Pindorama Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Carlos Freire to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Jumentus Rock Club's Tostão de Andrade threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Reinaldo Arce, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nestor de Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nestor de Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th match minute, Jumentus Rock Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor de Souza to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Tostão de Andrade managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Jumentus Rock Club's Zé Paulo Koehler fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Valdi Marte's late challenge caught a Jumentus Rock Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdi Marte helped the player get up and apologised. If Zé Paulo Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute Reinaldo Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tostão de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tostão de Andrade made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dieguinho Massa in the 19th minute. Tostão de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Arce in the 21st minute of the match. 21 minutes into the game, Jumentus Rock Club's Reinaldo Arce nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tostão de Andrade made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Reinaldo Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tostão de Andrade having to interfere. After 25 minutes, João Augusto Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.E. Pindorama Eagles and the Jumentus Rock Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. João Augusto Sousa hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, Tales Goiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tostão de Andrade. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tales Goiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

In the 52nd minute, Anselmo Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hélio Vianna took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Ceresso. Tomás Ceresso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 59th minute, Valdi Marte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute, Dieguinho Massa made a precise shot to the right of Tostão de Andrade. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. The supporters of S.E. Pindorama Eagles booed when Jumentus Rock Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tostão de Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Paulo Koehler, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 5-1 became the score in the 78th minute when Reinaldo Arce elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Tostão de Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Arce in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Jumentus Rock Club booed when S.E. Pindorama Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Augusto Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tostão de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinaldo Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Zé Paulo Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to S.E. Pindorama Eagles getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Luiz Fabiano Donato hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute Zé Paulo Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tostão de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdi Marte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás Ceresso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play.
