An unexpectedly hard shot by Roni Vihermäki in the 11th minute of play forced Purcaresti CSS's goalkeeper Romeo Hizo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeo Hizo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olen Homo in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Cezar Novăceanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tuomo Puikkonen. Karhulan Veikot's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cezar Novăceanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 21st minute Olen Homo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeo Hizo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iso Kalu kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Cezar Novăceanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Purcaresti CSS's supporters rose to their feet, but Cezar Novăceanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tuomo Puikkonen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Romeo Hizo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olen Homo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute Cezar Novăceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuomo Puikkonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Purcaresti CSS booed when Karhulan Veikot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miska Pasanen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valeriu Amurăriței blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tuomo Puikkonen having to make a save. In the 35th match minute, Purcaresti CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valeriu Amurăriței to maneuver through the defense. Karhulan Veikot's Arttu Piiroinen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Horaţiu Pătrășcanu, made in the 37th minute of the game. Cezar Novăceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olen Homo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeo Hizo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Romeo Hizo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roni Vihermäki went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olen Homo made a kick off. Karhulan Veikot's Kaarle Tukio managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Aurelian Stanciu in the 56 minute of the game. After 57 minutes, Aurelian Stanciu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Purcaresti CSS and the Karhulan Veikot players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olen Homo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeo Hizo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. The supporters of Karhulan Veikot booed when Purcaresti CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valeriu Amurăriței didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tuomo Puikkonen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cezar Novăceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rami Miinalainen got free with Romeo Hizo in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 80th minute Cezar Novăceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuomo Puikkonen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kaarle Tukio during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Olen Homo struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Romeo Hizo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karhulan Veikot. After 86 played minutes Karhulan Veikot got a freekick which was hit by Kaarle Tukio. Tuomo Puikkonen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionuț Gane, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Karhulan Veikot's zone, Ionuț Gane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tuomo Puikkonen came out of the goal and Ionuț Gane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tuomo Puikkonen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cezar Novăceanu in the 98th minute of play.
