When Savaş Kayraalp fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC GG's protests and gave Savaş Kayraalp a yellow card for diving instead. Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan had in the 35thth minute some difficulties stopping Filip Paulescu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Filip Paulescu scored 0-5 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Costin Iorgu's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Costin Iorgu put it in 0-6 from a short distance just to the right of Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan. Augustin Nechifor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Paulescu in the 47th minute of play forced FC GG's goalkeeper Orhan Seyfi Kotuzhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samir Şafakoğlu to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, FC Steaua Pildesti's Nichifor Vergulescu got a free kick in the 54th minute. FC Steaua Pildesti's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
