The Leiden Spor Kulubu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rudi Bouma should have stopped the shot. Aurelio Astudillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Evans, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute, Claudio Bucciarelli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rudi Bouma was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. When Hans Adams fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leiden Spor Kulubu's protests and gave Hans Adams a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute, Hans Adams hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Evans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute Matias Chepe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudi Bouma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute Claudio Bucciarelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudi Bouma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rudi Bouma made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. 38 minutes into the match, Leiden Spor Kulubu's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Chepe came free, but Rudi Bouma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matias Chepe scored 0-8 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rudi Bouma, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Leiden Spor Kulubu players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. San Lorenzo 11 were winning 0-8.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudio Bucciarelli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Bucciarelli got free with Rudi Bouma in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 81 minutes into the match, Leiden Spor Kulubu's goalkeeper Rudi Bouma had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Delmar Oskitz. 82 minutes into the match, Leiden Spor Kulubu's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Etxekopar came free, but Rudi Bouma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rudi Bouma made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Leonides Etxekopar sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded San Lorenzo 11 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Leiden Spor Kulubu.
