The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute, Arnout Lembeck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Springplank FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Arnout Lembeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Blom having to interfere. Michael Hjelm kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Jörn Lidström kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Polar Ice Caps's Henry Blom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Tuhuteru in the 16th minute of play. Maximiliano Eron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim Kamps having to interfere. Sivert Sander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdi Reis in the 33rd minute of play forced Polar Ice Caps's goalkeeper Henry Blom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Polar Ice Caps's Bob Maniez got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute Marcus Tuhuteru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Blom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Springplank FC were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Polar Ice Caps's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Niels-Jan Drok took the corner. Springplank FC's Niels-Jan Drok was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Henry Blom in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximiliano Eron to make the kick off. Maximiliano Eron blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jim Kamps having to make a save. In the 59th minute, Maximiliano Eron made a precise shot to the right of Jim Kamps. Springplank FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Polar Ice Caps's Henry Blom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Polar Ice Caps from getting a goal against them. Jim Kamps showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Enaut in the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Eron had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jim Kamps. Springplank FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximiliano Eron was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. With a little luck, Polar Ice Caps's Henry Blom got control of the ball when Arnout Lembeck tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute Maximiliano Eron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Kamps saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Casper Ottens fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Springplank FC's protests and gave Casper Ottens a yellow card for diving instead.
