Maximiliano Eron blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lautaro Estebanez having to make a save. 3 minutes into the match, Sabaneta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Eron came free, but Lautaro Estebanez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute Francisco Villagrán shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Blom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henry Blom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Angulo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Estebanez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Eron in the 9th minute of play. Sidro Piciña's late challenge caught a Polar Ice Caps's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidro Piciña helped the player get up and apologised. After 11 played minutes Sabaneta FC got a freekick which was hit by Sidro Piciña. Jack Lundblad hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute Diego Angulo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Blom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 minutes, Maximiliano Eron mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Polar Ice Caps and the Sabaneta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes Polar Ice Caps got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Eron. In the 19th match minute, Polar Ice Caps was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Botvidsson to maneuver through the defense. Diego Angulo came free in the 21st minute and tried to tip the ball over Henry Blom, but to the joy of Polar Ice Caps's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. In the 24th minute of the match, Francisco Villagrán tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Henry Blom saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Polar Ice Caps's Maximiliano Eron got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Sabaneta FC's Henry Blom threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Francisco Villagrán, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Maximiliano Eron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 35th match minute, Polar Ice Caps was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jack Lundblad to maneuver through the defense. Maximiliano Eron scored 0-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Estebanez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute of the match, Francisco Villagrán tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Henry Blom saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 45 played minutes Polar Ice Caps got a freekick which was hit by Petter Wikander. 46 minutes into the match, Polar Ice Caps's goalkeeper Henry Blom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raul Clavell. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Maximiliano Eron made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Maximiliano Eron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Raul Clavell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henry Blom was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raul Clavell in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henry Blom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maximiliano Eron might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lautaro Estebanez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximiliano Eron ran back to his position shaking his head. Lautaro Estebanez made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Maximiliano Eron sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th minute, Gerardo Bocos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Estebanez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Botvidsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sabaneta FC's zone, Maximiliano Eron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Estebanez came out of the goal and Maximiliano Eron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manu Agostino hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Sabaneta FC's Lautaro Estebanez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Sabaneta FC from getting a goal against them. In the 76th match minute, Sabaneta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cuarto Alvarez to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute Maximiliano Eron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Estebanez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 79 minutes, Wiktor Ugla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polar Ice Caps's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wiktor Ugla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game was made by Cuarto Alvarez with Manu Agostino as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Lautaro Estebanez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Eron in the 83rd minute of play. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sabaneta FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. André Botvidsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Polar Ice Caps's players had a chance to rest. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jack Lundblad during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Sabaneta FC booed when Polar Ice Caps was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jack Lundblad didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, André Botvidsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute of the match Manu Agostino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henry Blom skillfully saved the ball. Leonides Enaut charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonides Enaut the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Polar Ice Caps's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
