When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Moisés Linhares took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Leo Gaskon to make any attempt to save it. Kaká Batistas short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Leo Gaskon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Abelardo Ermengol was shown his second yellow card after 68 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Sport Club Cevada booed when BAIRES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Ermengol didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Sport Club Cevada's Moisés Linhares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
