After 4 minutes of play, Kenya's Jairo Dantel made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emilio Viguera was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Paco Melo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emilio Viguera. That made the score 2-0 in the 7 minute of play. If Jairo Dantel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kenya's Kacper Tobias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrossi Abeita in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute Ambrossi Abeita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kacper Tobias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Kenya's Paco Melo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Emilio Viguera. That made the score 3-0 after 22 minutes of play. In the 25th minute, Jairo Dantel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Bardeci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kacper Tobias having to interfere. The supporters of Kenya booed when Esmeraldas S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Rüdiger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jairo Dantel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emilio Viguera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. If Marco Tardelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ambrossi Abeita was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Kenya's Paco Melo made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emilio Viguera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jairo Dantel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute Alekos Rallis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Viguera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Marco Tardelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emilio Viguera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paco Melo in the 65th minute of the match. Kacper Tobias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrossi Abeita, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 67th match minute, Kenya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Ramone to maneuver through the defense. After 68 played minutes, Esmeraldas S.C.'s João Rüdiger shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kacper Tobias came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Esmeraldas S.C. reached it. If Ambrossi Abeita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 72 minutes into the match, Alekos Rallis notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Esmeraldas S.C.'s Emilio Viguera. Emilio Viguera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emilio Viguera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Tardelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Paco Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Tardelli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emilio Viguera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Marco Tardelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kenya's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Tardelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Viguera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marco Tardelli scored 7-0 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emilio Viguera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th minute, Paco Melo made a precise shot to the right of Emilio Viguera. Esmeraldas S.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Paco Melo scored 9-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emilio Viguera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 94 minutes into the game, Kenya's Paco Melo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Emilio Viguera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Kenya fully deserved thier win.
