Ladislao Urre hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Ripa FC's Simon Martxelin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington Figueiredo in the 23rd minute of play. Ildefonso Bordat kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Grêmio Bulls's Afonsinho Freire pulled a muscle in his back after 34 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Hristo Stoichkov's late challenge caught a Grêmio Bulls's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hristo Stoichkov helped the player get up and apologised. Marcel Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Izel, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The corner ended in Marco Elivareo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Grêmio Bulls's Marcel Jacinto did a great save. Hristo Stoichkov was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Ripa FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Hristo Stoichkov hit a great ball. Grêmio Bulls's Murillo Penha shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 45th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Simon Martxelin but with some difficulty. Simon Martxelin came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio Bulls's Wellington Figueiredo. But to his dismay, Wellington Figueiredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio Moraes in the 53rd minute of play forced Ripa FC's goalkeeper Simon Martxelin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edson de Senna took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Simon Martxelin. Simon Martxelin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Simon Martxelin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Moraes in the 62nd minute of the match. Cláudio Moraes struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Simon Martxelin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio Bulls. In the 65th minute, Wellington Figueiredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio Bulls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Simon Martxelin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cláudio Moraes went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. In the 73rd minute, Emanuel Nóbrega left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio Bulls fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. In the 77th minute, Justo Quinten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Wellington Figueiredo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Cláudio Moraes scored 7-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Simon Martxelin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ripa FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
