Adevarul Pur's Costin Stănculescu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Călimanescu in the 9th minute of play forced JFSP's goalkeeper Moisés Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the match, JFSP's goal looked a bit too open when Ionică Vârlan came free, but Moisés Novaes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edinson Gentenaar hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Ionică Vârlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés Novaes having to interfere. Costin Stănculescu made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Roberto Pato sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to JFSP getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Edinson Gentenaar hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Adevarul Pur's Adrian Blajovan got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 38th minute, Pompiliu Cobzeanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moisés Novaes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.

JFSP made a substitution. Hamílton Alagoano replaced Laerte Barbosa. In the 52ndth minute of the game Ionică Vârlan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but JFSP's Moisés Novaes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Moisés Novaes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 55th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. With a little luck, JFSP's Moisés Novaes got control of the ball when Stelian Cruceru tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute, Edinson Gentenaar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to JFSP getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Henrique Teixeira hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute Adalberto Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Stănculescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moisés Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pompiliu Cobzeanu in the 71st minute of play. Adevarul Pur's Costin Stănculescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamílton Alagoano in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Adevarul Pur's Ionică Vârlan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Moisés Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionică Vârlan, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After 89 played minutes JFSP got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Souto. The Adevarul Pur supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Adevarul Pur would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
