Spectators: 185 (Terracing: 140, Seating: 42, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ferran Rial kicked off to start the match. Otávio Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferran Rial in the 4th minute of the match. After 5 played minutes Danone CC got a freekick which was hit by Joachim Hornø. 7 minutes into the game, Ademir Aparecido cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Toni Schumacher was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Baldomiro Contero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otávio Massa having to interfere. In the 11th match minute, Danone CC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Toni Schumacher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vladimir de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. With his leg Otávio Massa managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Socavon FC's Nicodemo Bureu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 21 minutes into the game, Nicodemo Bureu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Otávio Massa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Socavon FC's Toni Schumacher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júlio Pena in the 26th minute of play. After 29 played minutes Socavon FC got a freekick which was hit by Giuseppe Baresi. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Nicodemo Bureu took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Otávio Massa to make any attempt to save it. Otávio Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomiro Contero in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Hornø in the 36th minute of play forced Socavon FC's goalkeeper Toni Schumacher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th match minute, Socavon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidencio Lima to maneuver through the defense. Enéas Ribeiro succeeded in the game's 38th minute to get real power on a long shot . Socavon FC's Toni Schumacher hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 2-2! 42 minutes into the match, Socavon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Senna came free, but Toni Schumacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Socavon FC defense, Vladimir de Almeida kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Toni Schumacher. The Socavon FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Toni Schumacher should have stopped the shot. After the first half Danone CC were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fausto Senna made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicodemo Bureu came free, but Otávio Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Socavon FC made a substitution. Gartxot Estopinal replaced Franko Tio. Danone CC made a substitution. Jens-Åke Kilstedt replaced Joachim Hornø. In the 65th minute, Nicodemo Bureu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Otávio Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Pablo in the 76th minute of play. After having played for 76 minutes, Fausto Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Danone CC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fausto Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Danone CC defense, Ferran Rial kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Otávio Massa. The Danone CC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Otávio Massa should have stopped the shot. Otávio Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Puget, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Danone CC booed when Socavon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Contero didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Danone CC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Danone CC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
