The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrew Miggiani was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Antoine Bugelli got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 55th minute, Andrew Miggiani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A nice corner shot did that Everardo Dodorol got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Clayton Gerada quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silverio Semeno in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clayton Gerada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Modesto Theodore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antoine Bugelli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Seraċini Għawdxin were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Paunero's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Neil Fenech took the corner. Silverio Semeno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clayton Gerada having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Seraċini Għawdxin got a freekick which was hit by Keith Cassar. The corner ended in Leopoldo Liberto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Gerada did a great save. If Robert Seychell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Modesto Theodore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoine Bugelli in the 81st minute of play. In the 82nd match minute, Paunero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermin Neto to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Paunero defense, Andrew Miggiani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Modesto Theodore. The Paunero fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Modesto Theodore should have stopped the shot. Andrew Miggiani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Quexal in the 90th minute of play forced Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Clayton Gerada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Pavia struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Modesto Theodore didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seraċini Għawdxin. In the 97th minute Seraċini Għawdxin were awarded a corner. Neil Fenech went to the cornerflag to take it. The Paunero supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Seraċini Għawdxin's performance. The match ended with a win for Seraċini Għawdxin.
