Mario Cuenca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emerson Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goalkeeper Eulalio Darien had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beto Píriz Alves. In the 18th match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Léo Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Mario Cuenca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emerson Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After 24 played minutes INTER FC got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Cruz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Cordarrel in the 33rd minute of play forced INTER FC's goalkeeper Eulalio Darien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Cruz in the 35th minute of play forced A.A. Cachila's goalkeeper Mario Cuenca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mario Cuenca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes A.A. Cachila's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ricardinho Batista who took care of the corner kick. The corner led INTER FC's Ricardinho Batista to fire away a dangerous shot which Mario Cuenca despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Beto Píriz Alves managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.A. Cachila's supporters rose to their feet, but Beto Píriz Alves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eulalio Darien breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Beto Píriz Alves made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Léo Trigo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beto Píriz Alves in the 53rd minute of play forced INTER FC's goalkeeper Eulalio Darien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Beto Píriz Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mario Cuenca made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Mandi Oca sent off a good shot on target. Federico Bernard hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, Mandi Oca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A.A. Cachila's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tiburcio Cordarrel in the 76th minute. The corner ended in Tiburcio Cordarrel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but INTER FC's Eulalio Darien did a great save. Giovani Mattos hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in INTER FC's zone, Tiburcio Cordarrel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eulalio Darien came out of the goal and Tiburcio Cordarrel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emerson Cruz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mario Cuenca came out and tried to block the shot, but Emerson Cruz slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute, INTER FC's Emerson Cruz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mario Cuenca. Mario Cuenca yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Mario Cuenca made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Mandi Oca sent off a good shot on target.
