Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nevada Chapital in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustavo Sauveur prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 11 minutes into the match, Nevada Chapital had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustavo Sauveur. Errecaborda AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nevada Chapital was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 13 played minutes Errecaborda AFC got a freekick which was hit by Teo Iigo. After a defensive mix-up in Errecaborda AFC's zone, Vito Alsina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Sauveur came out of the goal and Vito Alsina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Serafino Elorriaga hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, C.S.D Punta Ballena's Federico Valverde got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Jorrin Artiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Faro, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in C.S.D Punta Ballena fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! Jorrin Artiz had in the 26thth minute some difficulties stopping Lucio Faro's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When C.S.D Punta Ballena's Nevada Chapital in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Errecaborda AFC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 36th minute, Federico Valverde made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Sauveur. Errecaborda AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. A collision led to Errecaborda AFC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Felipe Bitxintxo hit a great ball. In the 45th minute Federico Valverde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Sauveur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on C.S.D Punta Ballena's corner Josepe Sobrevilla fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gustavo Sauveur quite easily take care of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucio Faro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jorrin Artiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipolito Nahia, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Valverde in the 57th minute of play forced Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Gustavo Sauveur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, C.S.D Punta Ballena's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Faro came free, but Jorrin Artiz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorrin Artiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Nahia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Sauveur made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Nevada Chapital sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd minute, Elias Maurin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, Nevada Chapital reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gustavo Sauveur. The goal made the score 1-3. Jorrin Artiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipolito Nahia, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Gustavo Sauveur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anton Guilizasti in the 73rd minute. Federico Valverde blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gustavo Sauveur having to make a save. C.S.D Punta Ballena's Jorrin Artiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teo Iigo in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of C.S.D Punta Ballena booed when Errecaborda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Iigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Sauveur acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 86th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Diegotxe Carvajal. 89 minutes into the match, Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Gustavo Sauveur had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anton Guilizasti. Anton Guilizasti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The C.S.D Punta Ballena supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C.S.D Punta Ballena would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
