Spectators: 187 (Terracing: 141, Seating: 43, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Thorben Rittmann made the kick off which started today's match. Henrik Reifer hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Thorben Rittmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 16 played minutes Sydney FC got a freekick which was hit by Guy Rothe. Michael Bremicker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbigniew Kurwil, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 22nd match minute, Sydney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adnan Tilner to maneuver through the defense. Zygmunt Zielonka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, KS Górnik Wałbrzych 1946's Gilian McDonald got a free kick in the 30th minute. Michael Bremicker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bowie Dillon in the 33rd minute of play. KS Górnik Wałbrzych 1946 were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after Sydney FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zygmunt Zielonka took the corner. Babayaro Brzęczyszczykiewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolomeo Heinlein, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 44 played minutes Sydney FC got a freekick which was hit by Don Küttner. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Michael Bremicker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Kurwil in the 52nd minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Thorben Rittmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sydney FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thorben Rittmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michael Bremicker made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Bowie Dillon sent off a good shot on target. After 81 minutes Sydney FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Zygmunt Zielonka who took care of the corner kick. The corner led KS Górnik Wałbrzych 1946's Bowie Dillon to fire away a dangerous shot which Michael Bremicker despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Henrik Reifer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michael Bremicker acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 83rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Zygmunt Zielonka. When the final whistle sounded KS Górnik Wałbrzych 1946 left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sydney FC.
