Spectators: 183 (Terracing: 138, Seating: 42, VIP seats: 3) Floriana Celtics's Miguel Piscopo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Skulstad hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Slavcho Kanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Piscopo, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Slavcho Kanov successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Slavcho Kanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Bonavia in the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute of the match, Fabio Lauri tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Slavcho Kanov saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Jason Haber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gjermund Viste in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Farstad came free, but Jason Haber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Josh Carbonaro sped through Legia Stavanger's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Slavcho Kanov. With a little luck, Legia Stavanger's Slavcho Kanov got control of the ball when Brian Urpani tried to sneak it across the goal line. Slavcho Kanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Piscopo in the 22nd minute of the match. Jason Haber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gjermund Viste in the 23rd minute of play. Legia Stavanger were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Floriana Celtics's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gjermund Viste took the corner. In the 27th minute Fabio Lauri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Slavcho Kanov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Floriana Celtics's zone, Daniel Farstad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jason Haber came out of the goal and Daniel Farstad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th match minute, Legia Stavanger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trygve Stormoen to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Skulstad made in the 32nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Demarcus Andersen. Slavcho Kanov came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Floriana Celtics's Josh Carbonaro. But to his dismay, Josh Carbonaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Daniel Farstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jason Haber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Slavcho Kanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Piscopo in the 38th minute of the match. Slavcho Kanov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kurt Bonavia in the 40th minute. 44 minutes into the match, Legia Stavanger's goalkeeper Slavcho Kanov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Terribile. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Farstad in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jason Haber prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gjermund Viste made a kick off. Legia Stavanger's Slavcho Kanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Piscopo in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Gjermund Viste came free, but Jason Haber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 56 minutes Floriana Celtics's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gjermund Viste who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Legia Stavanger's Gjermund Viste to fire away a dangerous shot which Jason Haber despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kristian Ibrahim got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 60th minute, Kristian Ibrahim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Slavcho Kanov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brian Urpani in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Daniel Farstad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Floriana Celtics booed when Legia Stavanger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gjermund Viste didn't get a good kick on the ball. Slavcho Kanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josh Carbonaro in the 69th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Farstad came free, but Jason Haber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Daniel Farstad dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jason Haber, 2-1. Floriana Celtics made a substitution. Andrew Cuschieri replaced Gregory Boffa. Jason Haber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Farstad in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Lauri in the 79th minute of play forced Legia Stavanger's goalkeeper Slavcho Kanov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gjermund Viste kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes, Floriana Celtics's Kurt Bonavia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Slavcho Kanov came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Floriana Celtics reached it. Daniel Farstad was extremely unlucky when he, in the 82nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Miguel Piscopo scored 3-1 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Slavcho Kanov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 88th minute, Daniel Farstad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jason Haber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Farstad in the 90th minute of play. The supporters of Floriana Celtics booed when Legia Stavanger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trygve Stormoen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Legia Stavanger's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Piscopo came free, but Slavcho Kanov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Daniel Farstad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Legia Stavanger's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Farstad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jason Haber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
