Trevor Burns came out of the goal and 杨翔洲 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Franz Graydon made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, 广州太阳神足球俱乐部 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erasmo Cesaro to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Dorking United FC's goal looked a bit too open when 康瑜平 came free, but Trevor Burns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
