Petruț Zăhărescu might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marco Peli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petruț Zăhărescu ran back to his position shaking his head. Marco Peli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Petruț Zăhărescu went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 19 minutes in the game Leontin Achifoaiei did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Moise Lăzărescu. After some careless play in the Candelaria FC defense, Nicu Gheondea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Peli. The Candelaria FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Peli should have stopped the shot. Marco Peli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicu Gheondea, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Marco Peli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petruț Zăhărescu in the 28th minute of play. Gelu Pască took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Peli. Marco Peli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. The ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
