An unexpectedly hard shot by Elliot Högman in the 22nd minute of play forced MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's goalkeeper Ardahan Hekimbaşı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Gustavsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ardahan Hekimbaşı having to make a save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hisingen IK:s goal. After some careless play in the MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu defense, Casper Eckegren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ardahan Hekimbaşı. The MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ardahan Hekimbaşı should have stopped the shot. In the 31st minute Hakkı Kenan Uygun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Einar Jernberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu booed when Hisingen IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Gustavsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Einar Jernberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abdurrezzak Ünveren in the 36th minute. Ardahan Hekimbaşı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Gustavsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Elliot Högman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Hisingen IK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Hakkı Kenan Uygun managed to get in a good position for a shot. MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's supporters rose to their feet, but Hakkı Kenan Uygun was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Einar Jernberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute, Hisingen IK's Robert Gustavsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. 69 minutes into the match, MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's goal looked a bit too open when Elliot Högman came free, but Ardahan Hekimbaşı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's goalkeeper Ardahan Hekimbaşı had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jörn Fagrell. Jörn Fagrell came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ardahan Hekimbaşı could save by the left post. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Elliot Högman took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Ardahan Hekimbaşı to make any attempt to save it. Jörn Fagrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ardahan Hekimbaşı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, MeRSiN-İDMaN-YuRDu's Ardahan Hekimbaşı got control of the ball when Jörn Fagrell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vilhelm Bokelund lost his temper 81 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hisingen IK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
